AISI 430 (S43020) Stainless Steel

AISI 430 stainless steel is a type of ferritic stainless steel which is commonly used for applications such as cookware and kitchen appliances. This grade of stainless steel is often referred to as “430 Stainless Steel”, since it is similar to the more common type of chromium-nickel austenitic stainless steel (AISI 304), but with a higher level of carbon and alloying elements. As a ferrite, AISI 430 stainless steel is typically magnetic and can be heat treated to gain increased strength as well as corrosion resistance.

GB/T 1220-2007 GB/T 1220-2007 Austenitic stainless steel rods represents the austenitic stainless steel rod produced by domestic and foreign manufacturers. The austenitic stainless steel rod is an iron-chromium alloy with a chromium content of 16-26% and a nickel content of 6-22%. Commonly used grades are 0Cr13Al, 1Cr13Al, 1Cr18Ni9, 0Cr18Ni9 and 04Cr19Ni10. GB/T 1220-2007 Austenitic stainless steel rods are applied to chemical, petroleum and other industrial departments because of their excellent corrosion resistance, strength and plasticity.

GB/T 1220-2007 Austenitic stainless steel rod is divided into three kinds of cold drawing, hot rolling, hot forging. The maximum diameter of cold drawing rod is 500mm, and the minimum diameter should not be less than 0.6mm. The tensile strength of hot rolled rod should not be lower than 440MPa, and the requirements of tensile strength, yield strength, elongation, hardness and hardenability should be met, and the surface should meet the requirements of GB/T 4336. The surface of hot forged rod should meet the requirements of rough turning and sandblasting.

GB/T 1220-2007 Austenitic stainless steel rod has high plasticity in annealing state, good thermal process performance and high tensile strength, as well as wear resistance and corrosion resistance. The hot-rolled stainless steel bar produces stress relief when heated to a suitable temperature and then cooled. When cold drawn, the hardness of stainless steel bar is generally below 200HV, and the grinding performance is better than that of hot-rolled state.

GB/T 1220-2007 Austenitic stainless steel bars can be used in a wide range of applications, including chemical and petrochemical industries, pipelines for transporting water, steam and gas, cryogenic vessels and materials that require extremely high corrosion resistance. GB/T 1220-2007 Austenitic stainless steel rods are widely used in many fields, such as precision mechanical components, cutlery, cookware, medical instruments and so on.
