S31608 Austenitic Stainless Steel
S31608 (0Cr17Ni12Mo2) austenitic stainless steel is a low carbon version of S31600 austenitic stainless steel, which has better resistance to chloride-ion stress corrosion cracking due to the addition of Mo.

S31608 stainless steel is available in the form of bars, rods, plates, sheets, pipes, flanges, forgings, and tubing. It is commonly produced by hot working and can be cold worked to produce higher strength and well as harder and closer dimensional tolerance.
Corrosion Resistance
S31608 austenitic stainless steel has excellent resistance to general and localized corrosion by organic acids including formic and acetic acid. It also exhibits good resistance to inorganic acids, including phosphoric acid, nitric acid, sulfuric acid, and hydrochloric acid.
