0Cr13Al Cold Rolled Ferritic Stainless Steel

0Cr13Al is a ferritic cold rolled stainless steel with a 13% chromium content. Much like martensitic stainless steel, ferritic stainless steel works in applications which require high strength-to-weight ratio and corrosion resistance. It exhibits better corrosion resistance than the martensitic stainless steel grades and is often used in automotive and petrochemical industries, particularly where high strength resistance is needed. 0Cr13Al is more resistant to corrosion in non-oxidizing environments such as industrial acid and high temperature atmospheres, such as in exhaust systems. 0Cr13Al also exhibits good formability and can be cold-rolled or stamped to create parts such as tubes or plates.

Due to its low chromium content, 0Cr13Al has excellent weldability and can be used in fabrication processes using oxyacetylene, arc or resistance welding processes. 0Cr13Al is also easy to machine and can be machined using conventional tools to produce a variety of parts.

0Cr13Al has great mechanical properties, including increased tensile strength and impact resistance in comparison to other ferritic and martensitic stainless steels. Its strength is increased by upgrading the alloy with elements like nitrogen and molybdenum which can also improve its wear and corrosion resistance. 0Cr13Al can also be used in high temperature applications such as furnace and boiler components as it can withstand temperatures up to 1200 degrees Celsius.

In terms of corrosion resistance, 0Cr13Al performs better than the 400 series of ferritic stainless steels and other martensitic stainless steel grades due to its increased chromium content. 0Cr13Al is also more resistant to stress corrosion cracking than other austenitic stainless steel grades, particularly in chloride environments.

0Cr13Al is available in a variety of sizes and shapes, from plates and sheets to bars and tubes. It is also available as rolled or pickled as well as in annealed or cold-worked states. Whatever the application or desired finished product, 0Cr13Al is ideal for a variety of industries due to its high strength and corrosion resistance.

0Cr13Al is an iron-based stainless steel with 13% chromium and aluminium. It has good corrosion resistance, excellent weldability and good formability, making it a preferred choice for cooking and kitchenware products.

It is hardened by cold working and can be used in temperatures from -40℃ to 100℃. Its hardness ranges from HV160-280. It’s weldable, but needs preheating before welding.

The chemical composition of 0Cr13Al is as follows:

• Carbon: 0.10-0.15

• Manganese: 0.30-0.55

• Silicon: 0.10-0.15

• Chromium: 13.00-14.00

• Nickel: 0.00

• Phosphorus: 0.30-0.50

• Sulphur: 0.25-0.50

• Aluminium: 0.10-0.15

• Iron: the rest

0Cr13Al is a martensitic stainless steel and is commonly used for making kitchen and cookware products. Its high corrosion resistance and weldability make it a suitable choice for use in both indoor and outdoor conditions.

It is available in a variety of shapes, including sheet, plate, coil, and shim stock. It can be cold and hot rolled, forged, machined, and welded. It is also suitable for riveting and brazing operations.

0Cr13Al can be used in the food, chemical, and petrochemical industries. It is also used for making washbasins, kitchen tools and bowls, and automobile exhaust systems.

This iron-based alloy is cost-effective and durable, which makes it a great choice for many applications.
