Chemical Composition of S43110 (1Cr17Ni2) Martensitic Stainless Steel
S43110 (1Cr17Ni2) martensitic stainless steel is a low-carbon martensitic stainless steel with good toughness and improved corrosion resistance due to increased chromium, nickel and molybdenum content. It is widely used in petrochemical, nuclear reactor, marine and other high temperature applications.

S43110 (1Cr17Ni2) is a cold worked or heat treated (chest) alloy. It can be used by both hot and cold working processes. Cold working operations include stretching and bending. The alloy can also be subjected to deep drawing and electroplating. Hot working operations include upsetting, punching, extrusion, drawing and forging.
S43110 (1Cr17Ni2) exhibits excellent toughness, weldability and fabricability. It is highly resistant to corrosion in chlorinated waters and is used in the food and beverage industries, medical industries and most industries where the presence of acidic or alkaline chemicals would cause severe corrosion. It has good wear resistance in a variety of environments.
The alloy can be used in a wide range of temperatures, up to 700° C. It can also be used in cryogenic temperatures. Small amounts of nitrogen and nitrogen-containing alloys can be added to increase the austenitic phase stability.
