Manufacture process
The manufacture process of 9Cr18MoV stainless steel bar can be divided into 3 parts: heating, hot rolling and heat treatment.
Firstly, the 9Cr18MoV stainless steel alloy ingot should be heated to 1000-1150℃ to get homogenization.
Then, hot rolling process is processing 9Cr18MoV stainless steel into required shape, such as bar, strip, wire, ring, etc.
Finally, the process of annealing, normalizing, both quenching and tempering and double ageing means of heat treatment will be applied to 9Cr18MoV stainless steel bar. During heat treatment, different preforms of 9Cr18MoV stainless steel will obtained. The changes of hardness, strength and dateleness will be obtained accordingly. Accordingly, through heat treatment process, 9Cr18MoV stainless steel bar can have different mechanical properties according to different applications.
Finally, quality testing is carried out to guarantee the quality of 9Cr18MoV stainless steel before delivery: including microstructure analysis, tensile test, mechanical property testing, magnetic particle testing, chemical composition analysis, ultrasonic testing, surface testing and other tests.

The 9Cr18MoV stainless steel bars are generally packed by packing straps and proper angles, preventing it from wrimple and crash during the transport. Water-proof paper or kraft paper is used as the outer packing. For LCL shipment, plastic film seaworthy packing is necessary; while for FCL shipment, 7-plys cardboard is necessary.
