Analysis and Treatment of Common Faults of Ground Source Heat Pump
Ground source heat pump (GSHP) is an energy-saving and environmentally friendly heating, cooling and hot water supply equipment, which uses the shallow ground temperature of the Earth as the energy source, and the heat energy of the ground and the heat energy released by the compressor are used to provide heating and cooling. In order to reach the good energy saving effect, GSHP should run as normal and stable. But as a mechanical equipment, it is inevitable that there will be some minor problems in running. The following is a brief analysis of the common faults of ground source heat pump, as well as the corresponding detection, exclusion and maintenance tips.
1. The indoor and outdoor temperature difference is too large
The temperature difference varies according to the ambient temperature difference and the performance of the ground source heat pump. Generally, the temperature difference between the heat pump and the outside should be controlled within 4-6 degrees Celsius. In case of severe temperature difference, it is necessary to check whether the heat pump system starts normally and whether there are controllers, pumps, etc. inside the system.
2. Low water flow
The problem of low water flow may be caused by water shortage, air entrapment and scale blocking of pipelines, all of which need to be checked, and corresponding treatment should be carried out if necessary.
3. Stop immediately after starting
If the ground source heat pump stops immediately after starting, the first step is to check whether the system is lost phase, whether there is water cutoff or clogging in the pipeline, and whether the evaporator leaks gas. If the fault is not found in the check, it may be the problem of compressor, then it needs to be replaced.
4. Abnormal sound
The abnormal sound of ground source heat pump is caused by air entrapment, lost phase, piping vibration and low refrigerant, and corresponding processing method should be taken after inspection.
5. No heating or cooling
If the heat pump does not work, it is necessary to check whether the switch of pipe, motor and compressor is normal. If all the systems run correctly, the refrigerant in the system may be insufficient, then need to be supplemented.
In addition to the above common faults, the general failure of ground source heat pump can be judged through observation in the equipment failure phenomenon. After confirming the fault, the corresponding treatment should be taken in time. It is also important that a regular maintenance and cleaning of the equipment should be done to extend the life of the heat pump and ensure the operation of the ground source heat pump system.
