Design of Dust Purification for Oxygen Blowing Furnace
1 Introduction
The dust purification of oxygen blowing furnace is an important part of the dust control of industrial production. At present, taking measures to reduce or eliminate dust is one of the basic principles of environmental protection. From the source, to take measures to reduce the dust pollution is usually the best way. The degree of dust purification in the use of the oxygen blowing furnace depends on the characteristics of the dust collector used. The type and mode of dust collector for the oxygen blowing furnace can be determined by understanding the source of dust, the characteristics of the gas stream, the purpose and requirements of dust removal, and other factors.
2 The General Principle of Dust Control
The most fundamental principle of dust purification of oxygen blowing furnace is to try to reduce the dust emissions at the source before using the dust collector. This includes eliminating or mitigating the dust source as far as possible, configuring the feeder, or selecting a dust-free working method or wet treatment, or adding hoods or covers and various dust control measures on the feeder. If necessary, the gas and purification can be adopted for de-dusting before the gas enters the gas treatment system. In addition, appropriate maintenance of the oxygen blowing furnace and dust removal equipment can ensure that the dust removal system operates normally and stably.
3 Types of Dust Removal Equipment
Dust removal equipment is the core of dust removal in the use of oxygen blowing furnace. At present, depending on the type of dust particles in the dust and the state of the smoke, the dust removal process of the oxygen blowing furnace can use the dry dust removal method using the bag filter dust collector, the wet dust removal method using the spray dust collector, or the combination of dry and wet dust removal methods.
The dust bag filter collects dust through the filter material (cloth bag) outside the bag body and delivers the dust with the gas flow to the hopper outside the bag body. The pulse dust collector uses compressed air to blow the dust layer attached to the filter bag to clean the bag and discharge the dust from the hopper outside the dust collector.
The spray dust collector uses water or other reagents to capture the dust in the flue gas. Wet dust removal equipment is especially suitable for purifying dust dust, molten metal dust and carbon black dust.
4 Design of Dust Purification System
When designing the dust removal system of oxygen blowing furnace, it should not only meet the emission requirements of the project, but also take into account factors such as dust composition, dust type, smoke volume, gas temperature, gas humidity, gas dust concentration, and dust particle size.
The design of the dust removal system must be based on the actual situation. Dust removal equipment shall be selected according to the need of dust control. The dust removal system should be designed to meet the requirements of dust discharge concentration and protect the air environment.
5 Maintenance of Dust Removal Equipment
In addition to the adequate design, it also includes daily maintenance of dust removal equipment. For dust collectors, their working conditions and performance will be fully reflected through their readings. For example, the number of bags, exhaust temperature, leakage current, air volume and operation state of the fan should all be regulated. Moreover, the following items should also be checked and maintained in the dust removal process: whether the ash hopper is blocked, whether the ash and dust are output, whether the various valves are closed, and whether the bag filter, the hopper and the fan are properly installed.
In conclusion, the design of dust purification for oxygen blowing furnace is an important part of dust control. The dust removal system should be designed to meet the local environmental requirements, and then the dust removal equipment selected according to the design requirements, in daily life and production, we need to pay attention to the maintenance and management of the dust removal system.
