CNR South Cheng Group Meishan Vehicle Plant Co., Ltd. is a joint-stock enterprise subordinate to China CNR Corporation Limited which is a key enterprise member of the China Railway Rolling Stock Industry Corporation (hereinafter referred to as CRRC).
It is located in Meishan City, Sichuan Province, covering an area of 1700 Mu with a total construction area of 250,000 square meters. It is CNR South Cheng Groups production base and was established in January 1958. At present, the company has 2800 employees, including more than 800 professional and technical personnel and more than 50 certified senior engineers and senior technicians.
Since the reform and opening up, the company has been committed to technology innovation, optimization and upgrading of product structure, mechanism and system innovation and the improvement of overall quality. It has successfully developed various types and sizes of city rail transit vehicles, subway cars, intercity high-speed cars, motor coaches and other special vehicles. It has obtained relevant national qualifications such as passenger and freight car design and manufacturing, project engine manufacturing and maintenance and repair, machining tools and auto parts, and testing and commissioning certification.

It has successfully developed seven series of new products such as maglev, high-gradient, and interregional EMU. The company has consistently maintained export trade. More than one hundred kinds of rail transit vehicles such as locomotives, subway cars, EMU, urban rapid transit and more than two hundred kinds of components have been exported to 28 countries and regions such as Britain, Brazil, Nigeria, Singapore, India and Kyrgyzstan.
