Sand and Gravel
Sand and gravel is a vital part of construction and is used in a variety of applications, both commercial and residential. For homes, sand and gravel are used to form driveways and pathways, but are also a major component of concrete and asphalt mix. For commercial construction, sand and gravel are also used in a variety of ways, including aggregate for roads and driveways, soil for landscaping and gardening, and core material for foundations, piping and sewers. Sand and gravel are essential for the construction of roads, bridges, buildings and other structures. For example, crushed stone and concrete gravel can be twice as pricey as pea gravel or fine sand, making sand and gravel the preferred material for many construction and landscaping tasks.
Most sand and gravel quarries have strict safety regulations concerning working environments, and those that are closer to residential areas may be monitored more closely. For example, noise pollution regulations may be in place to help protect nearby homes from any disruption. However, when accessing the materials from reputable sellers, construction and landscaping projects utilizing sand and gravel are not only highly cost-effective, but also quite safe for both workers and the surrounding areas.
