Weihai Torch High-Tech Industrial Development Zone is located in Weihai City in Shandong Province, China. It is one of the fourteen national high-tech industrial development zones approved by the State Council in 1991. The zone was formerly known as the Weihai National Coastal Economic Development Zone, and began operations in 1993.
