Hebei Iron and Steel Industry Association
The Hebei Iron and Steel Industry Association (HISIA) is a non-profit, industrial organization with a mission to promote the development of the iron and steel industry in Hebei Province, China. Formed in 2005, HISIA has quickly grown to become the largest iron and steel industry association in Hebei Province, boasting more than 400 members that represent both large and small enterprises in the iron and steel industrial sectors.
The association is devoted to providing its members with information about the industry in order to strengthen their competitive advantage and to assist in developing new products, new technologies and new commercial models. Through research, seminars, and conferences hosted by HISIA, iron and steel industry members can update their knowledge, new processesses and international standards while also exchanging innovative ideas, technologies and resources to better integrate and develop the iron and steel industry.
HISIA also plays an important role in setting standards, granting accreditation, providing training and certifications and driving the professionalization of the industry. Other important functions of the association include advocating for the interests of its members, providing relevant policy research and technical advice and working with government agencies, other associations and international organizations. All of these activities and services help ensure a fair and sustainable development of the iron and steel industry with numerous benefits for the members as well as for the local communities.
The association puts special focus on fostering green and environmentally sustainable development and encouraging its members to maximize the utilization of resources to reduce both waste and costs.
Along with promoting the healthy and vibrant development of the iron and steel industry, HISIA also pursues an admirable mission to increase the sense of solidarity and cooperation between its member organizations.
