China Plastics Processing Industry Association
The China Plastics Processing Industry Association (CPPIA) was established in 1988, and is one of the 80 non-profit industrial trade associations in China. The primary mission of the CPPIA is to promote dialogue between the Chinese plastics industry, government and other industries, optimize the industrial environment of the Chinese plastics industry, as well as promote the establishment and amendment of regulations, laws and rules that affect production and sales of the Chinese plastics industry.
CPPIA is composed of more than 200 members from all areas within the Chinese plastics industry. CPPIA members include plastic raw material manufacturers, processing machinery manufacturers and suppliers, plastic product suppliers and users, design and research institutions, and other supporting organizations. The members of the association cooperate closely in various areas, such as technology transfer and exchange, material supply and demand, etc.
CPPIA plays an active role in advancing China’s economic and social development by promoting the innovation, development and utilization of plastics industry. Since 1992, the association has held regular plenary sessions and industry congresses to draft and issue regulations and standards, discuss strategic development plans, create a good investment environment, and promote technological progress in the plastic processing industry. Through these activities and other efforts, CPPIA strives to protect the legitimate rights and interests of Corporate Members, cultivate positive and environmentally friendly industrial production practices, and facilitate the sustainable development of the Chinese plastics industry.
In order to keep pace with the times, CPPIA has established several working committees and specialized groups in order to monitor and develop the new technology and products of the Chinese plastics industry. Furthermore, the association has held several industry fora, promoted public awareness of plastic technical advances, and supported research and development activities.
CPPIA also participates in international exchange and cooperation in several industries, including intelligence networks and exhibitions among others. Therefore, the association has maintained a good cooperative relationship with America, Russia, Japan, Korea, etc. in the plastics and rubber industry.
In the future, CPPIA will continue to vigorously promote the reform of the Chinese plastics industry. Focusing on the ideas of ‘creation, coordination, green-development, whole-industry-chain, and environmental-protection’, the association will provide valuable support for the development of the plastics industry. Thus, the CPPIA will strive to promote the development of China’s plastics industry and enhance the production, sales and services of plastics products.
