1 Introduction
GB 15382–94 General Technical Conditions for Gas Cylinder Valves is a national standard issued by the Standardization Administration of the Peoples Republic of China. It stipulates the technical requirements, test methods and regulations of gas cylinder valves. The standard is applicable to the general gas cylinder valve used in gas cylinders of various industrial gases, cylinder filling and valve auxiliary components, cylinder accessories, and is the basis for the quality assessment of the valves.
2 General Requirements
The gas cylinder valves of this standard should be designed, manufactured, inspected and tested according to the technical regulations and requirements of this standard.

3 Materials
The material of gas cylinder valves should be selected according to the working pressure and media, corrosion resistance and thermal stability of the gas. The material should meet the requirements of table 1 and table 2.

4 Structural Requirements
The structural design of the gas cylinder valves should meet the relevant requirements of the standard. This mainly includes the requirements regarding the design, production, testing and inspection of the valves.
5 Performance and Testing
The gas cylinder valves should meet the requirements of Table 3 for performance and testing.

6 Marking and Packing
The packing of the gas cylinder valves should meet the requirements of GB/T 10003—2000. Marking the valves should include information such as the manufacturer’s name and address, product name, model and specification, pressure, etc.
