Inspection and Maintenance of Circuit Breakers
Circuit breakers are indispensable electrical components in circuits, and their stringent requirements for safety and reliability require diligent inspection and maintenance to ensure their safe and reliable operation. Here are some precautions for inspecting and maintaining circuit breakers.
First, check the circuit breakers of the spare parts, accessories and insulation materials to ensure that the parts are in good condition free from damage and dirt. Cleaning of circuit breakers should be done carefully, avoiding the use of acidic, alkaline or other corrosive solvents. When it is necessary to replenish oil, it should be added to the specified oil.
Second, the continuity and insulation of the circuit breaker should be checked. Connect one of the test wires at one end of the circuit breaker contact and the other at the middle contact of the other end respectively. Check that the circuit breaker is not in the two or two position, or can not be reversed. With the test pen meter, first measure the insulation resistance between the two poles of the circuit breaker, then measure the loop resistance of the circuit breaker under the test pressure, the measured value should meet the requirements in the product manual. The contact resistance should be measured less than 0.10Ω.
Third, the operation performance of the circuit breaker should be checked. Check the stability of the trip action of the circuit breaker, the mechanical and electrical relationships of the breaking action, the action time of the action and the regulation of the breaker’s sensitive state. Put the rated current in the circuit breaker, and the action time should meet the requirements of the product manual. After action, put a higher current and check the on-load performance. Check the protection level of the product refrigeration system based on the specified load current, and the relative temperature difference between the nozzle and the environment should meet the requirements of the product manual.
Fourth, in order to fully eliminate the destructive forces in the insulation material, the insulation should be discharged and dried after the circuit breaker is tested. This preventative measure is particularly important in vacuum circuit breakers, as air-filled insulation systems can cause breakdown and inevitably lead to reduced circuit breaker life.
Inspect and maintain circuit breakers and electrical systems for safety, reliability and longevity. Periodic inspections and maintenance of circuit breakers can extend the working life of equipment, optimizing system performance and reliability. In addition, human safety is even more important, so it is once again necessary to check and maintain circuit breakers, reduce or avoid potential dangerous conditions.
Finally, in order to ensure that the circuit breaker will perform its intended function reliably, periodic maintenance should be carried out and necessary repairs should be done. After inspection and maintenance work is completed, the circuit breaker should be properly closed and adjusted. Then, the insulation resistance and the action performance should be tested again, and a written record should be made to ensure safe and reliable operation.
