Technology of Production Rate of Gear Type Steel Castings

The production rate of gear type steel castings refers to the yield of castings produced in the casting process of gear type steel. Casting is a kind of molten liquid material. The solidification of the material itself affects its structure and performance, so the quality of the casting directly affects the quality of the gear type steel part.

The production rate of gear-type steel castings is usually analyzed according to the following four factors.

1. Preparation of raw materials. Pay attention to the composition of raw materials, and choose the formulation that meets design requirements. The collocation and proportion of each element must be calculated strictly.

2. Casting process. According to the pressure and time required by the technical requirement of the combined part, fill and exhaust procedures should be determined. The temperature, time, speed and flow control in the process should be kept in mind to prevent the flow of the liquid metal from too slow and too fast, thus ensuring the smooth filling of the mould and the dense structure of the cast.

3. Temperature constrol. The temperature of the casting chamber, the temperature of the liquid metal and the temperature of the mould should be controlled strictly. On the contrary, if the temperature is too low, the crystal of the molten liquid material will not be able to grow in order, and the surface of the casting is rough and not smooth.

4. Reasonable structure design. The internal structure of the part should be designed reasonably. Special attention should be paid to the gating system of the casting to make it conform to the theoretical pressure-time curve, so as to make it easier to cast castings.

In addition, the production rate of gear type steel castings should also pay attention to the accuracy of the processing mould, sand particle size, sand granulation and strength, and take effective measures to prevent casting defects such as sand holes, shrinkage porosity and cracks.

In order to improve the production rate of gear type steel castings, the production process should be improved and the related technical parameters should be strictly controlled.
