Q235 Steel (Cold Rolled) Nonmetallic Inclusions

Q235 steel (cold rolled) is an all-round economical steel and is divided into carbon structural steel, low-alloy structural steel and high-alloy structural steel. It is mainly applied to construction, bridges, ships, vehicles and other structures. Nonmetallic inclusions, harmful to steel performance, widely exist in rolled steels and affect the application of room temperature plastic deformation and heat treatment. Because of the small size and large number, most nonmetallic inclusions in rolled steel are difficult to detect sitting.

Nonmetallic inclusions mainly consist of sulfide inclusions, oxides, and silicates. The shape of nonmetallic inclusions is varied, and the morphology is three-dimensional which makes it hard for the analysis alone. Nonmetallic inclusions can not only reduce the product quality, but also have a significant influence on the toughness and performance of Q235 steel. In order to improve the steel performance, reduce the non metallic inclusions in the steel and make the steel more suitable for use in high-demand applications, the following method can be used.

To begin with, the foundry should maintain a stable state of deoxidation, which can help to avoid high-temperature oxidation of molten steel, thus reducing the generation and damage of nonmetallic inclusions. Secondly, the high-temperature pretreatment process should be used to reduce the nonmetallic inclusions in the steel. The heavy precipitation of nonmetallic inclusions will occur in the pool during the pretreatment process, which is beneficial to the removal of nonmetallic inclusions in the steel. In addition, strengthening or using proper cleaning agent in the rolling process can also reduce the existence of nonmetallic inclusions in the steel, so as to improve the quality of the steel.

In summary, rolling production process of Q235 steel requires high demands on nonmetallic inclusions, and it is necessary to reduce nonmetallic inclusions in order to improve performance. Foundry should pay more attention to the deoxidation process and maintain the stability of the steel, as well as to use the high temperature pretreatment and cleaning agents for the adjustment of rolling process, so as to reduce the nonmetallic inclusions in the Q235 steel.

Q235 Steel (Cold Rolled)

Q235 steel is a cold rolled steel grade, which is commonly used in many industries such as automobile manufacturing, construction, and manufacturing of heavy machinery. This steel is a medium-carbon steel with a low level of impurities and addition elements, making it the perfect metal for many applications.

Q235 steel has a higher strength and hardness compared to other carbon steels. This extra strength and hardness make it an ideal option for high strength applications such as automotive and construction applications. Additionally, Q235 has good wear and fatigue resistance. This will help to ensure that a product performs consistently in these wear environments.

Q235 steel also has excellent formability and weldability. This makes it a great option for assembling parts together. Q235 steel is relatively easy to cut and shape to the desired specifications. Additionally, it can be easily welded together with other metals.

Q235 steel is also notable for its toughness. It is capable of enduring large impacts and stresses, as well as remaining flexible when exposed to sudden changes in temperature. This makes it a great choice for products and components that need to be flexible and strong.

All in all, Q235 steel is an excellent option for many applications. Its high strength and durability make it suitable for automotive and construction parts. Additionally, it is relatively easy to cut, shape, and weld, making it an ideal choice for assembling products together. Q235 steel is also known for its toughness and ability to remain flexible. This makes it ideal for products and components that must be durable and reliable in rough environments.
