In order to maintain the good mechanical properties of cold-rolled ribbed steel, it is essential to use good material in the cold rolling process. The requirements for the material quality of cold-rolled ribbed steel are as follows:

1) Good chemical composition;

2) Low carbon equivalent, mainly consisting of C, Si, Mn;

3) Good nodularity;

4) The surface must be clean and free from scratches, pits and other defects

To ensure that the ribbed steel produced can meet the requirements of GB/T13791-1992, it must pass a series of tests in the process of cold rolling. The commonly used tests are tensile test, metallographic inspection and chemical composition analysis.

Tensile test is to test the strength of the material, usually in the range of 60-90 MPa is considered good; Metallographic inspection is mainly to examine the microstructure of the material, and the relevant parameters are mainly uniform distribution, average grain size and segregation; Chemical composition analysis mainly tests the chemical composition of the material, mainly C, Si and Mn content.

After the cold-rolled ribbed steel material has passed the above tests, it can be used to produce suspension components, such as air springs, suspensions, struts, control arms, etc. The cold-rolled ribbed steel should be cleaned before processing, and the surface should be free of oil stains, impurities, rust and other foreign materials.

In the process of processing cold-rolled ribbed steel, proper coolant should be used. The necessary processing parameters should be strictly controlled. Before heat treatment, other necessary tests such as visual inspection, hardness, etc., should also be carried out.

All in all, the production and use of cold-rolled ribbed steel requires strict control of relevant processes and relevant parameters in order to meet the requirements of GB/T13791-1992, so as to ensure the good performance of the suspension parts produced.
