Happiness is Not Money
Many people believe that money can bring them happiness. People are constantly searching for new ways to make more money or perhaps even rescue their money from dangerous investments. While it is true that money is necessary for physical survival and the purchase of necessary goods and services, it can never truly bring lasting happiness.
People who put all of their hopes and dreams into money are setting themselves up for unhappiness and disappointment. Yes, money may bring fleeting moments of joy and satisfaction, especially if used to buy things that bring people pleasure. However, as soon as the newness wears off, the person is left wanting more. Money cannot be used to satisfy needs such as companionship, acceptance, or feelings of accomplishment and pride.
Success and happiness come from within. You must have a positive outlook and attitude toward life. You must have the drive and motivation to reach your goals. People who have achieved success and happiness have done so by finding the courage and strength within themselves to accomplish what they have set out to do. They focused on their own internal motivation and are not solely reliant on material possessions.
The key to happiness is finding balance in life. You must strive for meaningful relationships with family and friends, as well as a fulfilling career. Seeking more money as a way to achieve happiness is putting the cart before the horse, as money is only one factor of feeling content with life.
Money will never bring you the joy you seek. Searching within yourself for enthusiasm and satisfaction is the only way to achieve satisfaction. When you clearly define your goals, work hard, and be proud of your accomplishments, you will find the personal satisfaction and happiness you seek.
