Weinlkow furnace is widely used in production of copper and tin alloys. The furnace consists of a vertical shaft, lined with refractory material and pierced with burners to achieve gas-fired in the vertical directions, different levels and different temperature zones, rotary hearth and charging systems.

Weinlkow furnace is renowned for its energy efficiency and speed of melting as well as its homogeneity, versatility and versatility. It is suitable for the production of a variety of high quality alloys and is capable of melting and homogenizing residues, either upon their introduction and/or through the regular operation of the furnace.

The working element of the furnace is the rotary hearth, a large, rotating and operating in a convective flaming zone. The metal is melted and homogenized when the solid metal is loaded onto the hearth and then heated and stirred continuously with flames.

The metal charge is first heated with a low amount of fuel flame and then the metal is heated and stirred by additional heaters. In order to reduce energy consumption and provide a homogenous metal temperature, measures such as insulation, exhaust gas recirculation, preheating of feed, automatic control, etc. are taken.

The furnace structure is designed in such a way that it does not get tilted during normal operating conditions and the uniform movement of the hearth keeps the rotor surface clean at all times.

The designs of the Weinlkow furnaces are customisable according to the customer’s needs, choosing the temperature zones and burners, the furnace chamber and the charging system.

In order to ensure that the furnace operates smoothly, good working practices must be followed, such as regularly cleaning the hearth, regular maintenance of the equipment, and regular inspection and calibration of the burner system.

In order for the Weinlkow furnace to achieve its maximum performance, a well-equipped, specialised workshop designed for smelting of metals must comply with the necessary safety requirements. The workshop allows for removal of the dust and fumes generated by the operation and specialise equipment for the charging system and transportation of the melt.

Overall, the Weinlkow furnace is a reliable and efficient furnace for smelting and homogenizing metals, allowing for a wide range of applications, and due to its customization capabilities, allows customers flexibility in producing high quality alloys, while meeting their specific needs.
