Recovery of sulfur containing tungsten and antimony complex ore
The complex ore of sulfur containing tungsten and antimony is a type of refractory ore, which is also heavily contaminated with iron and other impurities, and is difficult to separate from each other. Its processing technology and equipment are also very special. Moreover, due to the presence of sulfur, the elements can easily oxidize at a high temperature, causing a certain loss of tungsten and antimony, and the excessively high temperature may also destroy the selective properties of various reagents, causing difficulties to the recovery process. Therefore, it is necessary to choose the physical and chemical processes and equipment suitable for the tungsten and antimony complex ore, so as to realize the selective enrichment and comprehensive utilization of the tungsten and antimony contained in the ore.
1. Physical and chemical processes suitable for sulfur-containing tungsten and antimony complex ore
(1) Crushing and screening. Reasonable crushing and screening process of the ore can effectively reduce the content of impurities such as iron in the ore and better ensure the grade of the concentrate. Generally speaking, it is suggested that the ore should be crushed to about -3mm, and then screened by vibrating screen.
(2) Gravity separation process. The metallurgical properties of particles of tungsten and antimony with different specific gravity are different, and this also means that gravity separation is feasible. There are three gravity separation processes - jigging process, shaker process and centrifugal process. According to the actual situation of the ore, one or more of them can be reasonably chosen.
(3) Flotation process. Due to the presence of impurities such as iron and gangue and the difficulty of separation, flotation can be used to remove iron and gangue. In flotation process, xanthate or sulphide reagents can be used according to the condition of ore, and priority can be given to the enrichment and separation of tungsten and antimony.
2.Equipment suitable for recovery of sulfur-containing tungsten and antimony complex ore
(1) Beneficiation equipment. For the recovery of tungsten and antimony complex ore, the beneficiation equipment commonly used are jaw crusher, cone crusher, vibrating screen, ball mill, classifier, jig, thickener, flotation machine and concentrator. Among them, the ball mill is used for grinding the ore, which can effectively reduce the content of impurities, and the jig and thickener can also be used for gravity separation and enrichment of tungsten and antimony in the ore.
(2) Smelting refining equipment. The smelting and refining equipment is an indispensable part of the recovery process of tungsten and antimony complex ore. Common smelting and refining equipment includes electric furnace, induction furnace, reverberatory furnace, furnace and furnace.
In summary, the recovery of sulfur-containing tungsten and antimony complex ore can be realized through the choice of physical and chemical processes and related equipments. The combination of physical and chemical processes can reduce the cost of reagents and the loss of tungsten and antimony in the process of recovery and ensure the final recovery rate. In the smelting and refining process, different smelting and refining equipments can be selected according to the needs, so as to achieve better comprehensive utilization and obtain higher economic benefits.
