Baotou Steel Ironmaking Plant of Baogang Group is a large ironworks integrated with production and sales, is the core subsidiary enterprise of Baogang Group and the earliest steelmaking and ironmaking base of the group. The ironmaking plant is located in the city center of Baotou, with a railway and a highway transportation hub, convenient transportation.
The plant specializes in the production of various coking coal, coke, coal tar, sinter, pellet, coke-oven gas, and a series of products including 12-300mm carbon steel, special steel, alloy steel and non-standard varieties, hot rolling and bright annealing products. After years of hard work and development, it has formed a monthly production capacity of about 4 million tons of hot metal, 4.24 million tons of pig iron, 3.6 million tons of hot rolling, 3.2 million tons of cold-rolled and steel, 0.68 million tons of seamless tube and 0.76 million tons of alloy and special steels.
Baotou Steel Ironmaking Plant is the first subordinate enterprise of Baogang Group to realize the goal of a modern integrated production management system. It has passed three bursts of assessment certificates such as metal and non-metallic material trial production certificat, quality system certification and overseas project certification, and has obtained ISO9000 quality certification, ISO14001 environmental management certification and OHSAS18001 OHS management system certification.
At present, our ironmaking plant mainly provides products such as cold rolled steel, hot rolled steel, medium thick plate, common wire, famous special steel, stainless steel, etc. the products are widely used in various domestic and foreign projects, Baogang Groups products all over the world.
In order to ensure the safety production, Baotou Steel Ironmaking Plant puts forward environmental protection, safety and quality as the principle and unswervingly follows the green production line. In order to meet the social requirements, it constantly improves its technology and innovates its products. In 2011, it introduced the clean production project with an investment of 20 million yuan.
