Mold technology is a major field of modern industrial production in the world. In the past, manual production dominated the manufacturing industry, and the production process of molds and products was not standardized. With the gradual maturity of modern mold technology, the production process and products produced by molds have become increasingly standardized, which has effectively shortened the production cycle from design to completed products. This not only brings huge economic benefits, but also makes peoples lives more convenient and efficient.

Mold technology is generally divided into several types: forgings, castings, plastic molds, punching molds, metal forming molds, powder metallurgy molds, die casting molds and metal prototype molds, which are widely used in the production of metal parts, plastics, cars and electronic appliances.

Molding is a technological process of forming a certain shape of product or component under a certain pressure and processing conditions. In the molding process, plastics, rubber and other materials can be molded into various shapes, such as bottles, containers, aircraft parts, plastic toys, mobile phone shells and other industry parts. The types of molding are injection molding, extrusion molding, blow molding, vulcanization molding, plastic pressure molding, etc.

In injection molding, plastic materials (resins), thermoplastic polymers and thermoplastic polymers are heated, mixed, degraded and melted through a plasticizing machine. The molten plastic materials are pressurized and injected into the mold cavity through the injection auger. The plastic is cooled, solidified and finally removed from the mold to get the required shape and size of the plastic part.

In extrusion molding, plastic raw materials are put into an extruder, heated, pressurized and melted, and then extruded from a die plate under pressure. Various complex shapes such as profiles, pipes, foaming products and hollow products can be obtained.

In blow molding, the main process is to first heat the plastic material into a plastic parison, and then inflate and blow it, and then shape and cool it to obtain the shape and size of the product required.

In vulcanization molding, the main process is that the vulcanized rubber is made into a shaped product by using a molding machine. Vulcanizing rubber products are widely used in many industries, such as automotive and aircraft parts, electrical insulation and sound insulation materials, medical and health care products.

The production of molds is not easy. First, the mold should be highly precise and durable, and have sufficient strength and rigidity to withstand the pressure and strain of the injected material during the molding process. Secondly, the inner surface of the mold should have sufficient precision and smoothness, so that the formed shape and size of the product can meet the requirements. Finally, the mold design should be considered comprehensively to ensure that it can be operated in place, convenient and safe.

In short, mold technology has made great progress, making the whole production process more efficient. The development and use of molds has promoted the transformation of traditional manufacturing processes and the development of modern production, bringing great benefits to peoples production and life.
