International Education Scholarship Agreement
This international education scholarship agreement (the “Agreement”) is made and entered into on [date] between [Name of Scholarship Provider] (the “Sponsor”) and [Name of Scholarship Recipient] (the “Recipient”).
1. Purpose of the Agreement
The purpose of this agreement is to provide [Recipient] with the grant of a scholarship (the “Scholarship”) to pursue a course of international education, to support the Recipient in this endeavor, and to facilitate international exchange.
2. Scholarship
The Sponsor agrees to provide the Recipient with the Scholarship, in the amount of [Amount], to pursue a course of international education. The Scholarship will be distributed as follows:
· [Amount/Percent] in a lump sum.
· [Amount/Percent] at the completion of each overseas portion of the education.
· [Amount/Percent] towards tuition, room and board, books, and other educational expenses incurred during the international education.
The Scholarship funds provided in this Agreement may be applied toward the Recipient’s tuition, room and board, books, and other educational expenses. The Recipient may also use the Scholarship funds for other reasonable and necessary expenses incurred in connection with the international education.
The Sponsor will also provide assistance to the Recipient in making arrangements for the international portion of their education and may provide the Recipient with additional financial assistance, as determined by the Sponsor.
3. Academic Performance
The Recipient agrees to maintain satisfactory academic progress towards completing their course of international education, as determined in the school’s policies and the Sponsor’s standards.
4. Reporting
The Recipient agrees to provide the Sponsor with periodic updates regarding the progress of their international education, including grades, goals, and progress report. The Recipient also agrees to provide the Sponsor with periodic reports, as requested by the Sponsor, to document the use of the Scholarship funds and other expenses associated with the international education.
5. Obligations of the Recipient
The Recipient agrees to the following obligations:
· To pursue their course of international education in the manner outlined in this Agreement and the terms and conditions of their educational institution.
· To adhere to any rules, regulations and policies of the school, Sponsor, and any laws applicable to the recipient or their studies abroad.
· To maintain a high standard of personal conduct and demonstrate respect for the customs and cultures of the country where the international education is taking place.
6. Representations and Warranties
Both the Sponsor and the Recipient make the following representations and warranties:
· That the execution of this Agreement and the performance of its terms and conditions do not violate any terms or conditions of any applicable laws or regulations.
· That they are of legal age and capable of entering into a legally binding agreement.
· That they will comply with all relevant laws, regulations, orders and judgments in connection with this Agreement.
7. Confidentiality
The Recipient agrees to keep all matters related to this Agreement, including but not limited to the Scholarship funds, confidential.
8. Termination
This Agreement will be automatically terminated upon completion of the international education. Either the Sponsor or Recipient may terminate this Agreement for any other reason, with or without cause, upon written notice to the other party. In the event of a termination, the Recipient will return all remaining Scholarship funds.
9. Miscellaneous
This Agreement is the entire agreement between the parties and supersedes all prior agreements or negotiations. Any amendment or modification to this Agreement must be in writing and signed by both parties. This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of [State], and any dispute or litigation between the parties shall be venued in [County], [State].
