Chinas heat resistant steel grades can generally be divided into martensitic steels, austenitic steels, austenitic-ferritic steels and precipitation hardening steels. Martensitic steels, including 5Cr4Mo2Vsi and 12Cr4Mo2V2Si, have excellent strength, hardness and toughness at room temperature and a significant increase in strength properties, creep resistance and oxidation resistance at high temperature. In addition, the 2Cr12Ni2MoVW steel has good oxidation resistance, wear resistance, thermal fatigue resistance and welding performance.
Austenitic steels, including 12Cr18Ni9Ti and 0Cr18Ni9Ti steels, are characterized by good resistance to high temperature oxidation and creep resistance, as well as good plasticity, usability and weldability. At the same time, modified austenitic steels, such as 0Cr13Ni6Mo3TiNi and 0Cr18Ni11Nb, have better corrosion resistance and higher temperature strength than ordinary austenitic steels.
Austenitic-ferritic steel, such as 0Cr21Ni10TiW and 0Cr21Ni12Mo, has characteristics of both austenitic steel and ferritic steel. It has excellent high temperature strength, good corrosion resistance and creep resistance, and good weldability.
The performance of precipitation hardening steel is higher than that of ordinary martensitic steel. For example, 15Cr21Ni3Mo7W steel has excellent strength, improved oxidation resistance and wear resistance at high temperatures and excellent thermal shock resistance and weldability.
In addition to the mentioned four general types of heat-resistant steel, there are some special heat-resistant steels, such as Ni-based low-alloy steel, Ni-based high-alloy steel, Fe-Ni-Cr-Mo-N system and Co-based alloy steel, which have excellent comprehensive performance, such as oxidation resistance, high temperature strength and corrosion resistance.
