Angang Iron and Steel Group Xinyang Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. (AIST XYS) is an integrated steel manufacturing enterprise and one of the core subsidiaries of Angang Group. It consists of the former Xinyang Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. and Angang Steel Co., Ltd. The predecessor of AIST XYS, the Xinyang Iron and Steel Works established in 1958, has held a central status in the Chinese iron and steel industry for over 60 years. Today, AIST XYS is one of the largest and most advanced steel makers in the country and the largest special steel enterprise in Henan province.
AIST XYS covers an area of over 2.6 million square meters, and its annual production capacity has exceeded 10 million tons of steel products in recent years. AIST XYS mainly produces high-quality wire rods (including narrow strips, wide strips, and cold-head forging materials), steel bars, section bars (including hot rolled sections, H-beams, steel tubes, and oil pipe s), hot rolled coils, cold rolled coils, and high-performance steels. It has two subsidiaries, Xinyang Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. and Angang Steel Co., Ltd. under its control.
AIST XYS is a leader in the China automotive steel industry and has been a steady supplier to some of China’s most prestigious automobile brands. AIST XYS produces a range of automotive steels and components, including thin steel sheets, hot-rolled steel billets, cold-rolled steel strips, and surface treated steel products. It has received orders to supply automotive steel to more than 600 auto companies in 30 countries worldwide.
AIST XYS is committed to technological innovation and is constantly upgrading its steel production capacity. Since the early 2000s, AIST XYS has adopted advanced processes, such as thin-slab casting and rolling, LD-CSP (combined slab preheating and rough rolling) production line and a 4-meter-wide cold rolling mill. Notable achievements include leading the industry by completing China’s first thin-slab casting and rolling project and its first 5-meter-wide hot rolling mill.
AIST XYS is dedicated to environmental protection and creating a safe and healthy workplace for its employees. It has implemented comprehensive environmental management policies that have been audited and approved by the Environmental Protection Department. In recent years, the company has been actively searching for new, efficient and environmentally friendly technologies to reduce emissions and improve air quality.
