My Winter in Oslo
This winter, I had the opportunity to travel to Oslo Norway, And I spent half a month there. It was my first time ever, so I was anxious to explore the city and the country side.
The city of Oslo was incredibly beautiful. Its coblestone streets and colorful buildings were breathtakingly beautiful! I instantly fell in love with the musical history of the city and its openness to the arts.
The snowy landscapes and picturesque views were simply amazing. Everywhere you went, there was snow and ice which added to the atmosphere. I visited famous landmarks like The Royal Palace, The Opera House and The National Monument.
The winter weather meant I had to be extra careful when exploring the city, but the extra layer of clothing was worth it!
During my time in Oslo, I had the unique opportunity to explore the Norwegian fjords. These breathtakingly beautiful inlets of water that extend deep into the Scandinavian countryside were just amazing!
On my journey, I travelled through some stunningly beautiful villages full of traditional Scandinavian charm. I was able to walk around in the snow and enjoy some spectacular views of the icy country side.
I was also able to try some traditional Norwegian winter activities like skiing, snowmobiling, and snowshoeing. All of these activities were incredibly fun, and I found myself wanting to keep exploring the winter wonderland.
I ended my trip with a romantic dinner at the famous Holmenkollen Ski Museum. From my seat, I had a perfect view of the night sky and the snow covered landscape. It felt magical.
Since then, Ive been longing to go back to Oslo and explore more of Norway. I would highly recommend it to anyone who loves the outdoors and appreciates the beauty of the winter season. Its truly a once in a lifetime experience.
