Chevron Phillips Chemical (CPC) is a joint venture between Chevron Corporation and Phillips 66, two of the world’s largest petrochemical manufacturers. Located in The Woodlands, Texas, CPC brings together 75 years of experience from both companies with a combined portfolio of more than 3,000 products, from basic petrochemicals and plastics to highly specialised polymers technologies.
CPC offers an extensive portfolio of high-quality products produced from basicpetrochemicals such as ethylene, propylene, and butadiene, as well as an extensive specialty portfolio of polymers and intermediates for industrial applications. They also have a large portfolio of feedstock specialties and petrochemicals, created from proprietary or proprietary-licensed technologies.
In 2015, construction began on the Chevron Phillips Chemical Cedar Bayou ethylene cracker, which Chevron Phillips is a part of. The new facility is expected to start production in 2020, and is designed to utilize the latest technologies and processes to produce products more efficiently and safely.This new cracker has a capacity of 1.5 million tons of ethylene per year, and is projected to be one of the most energy-efficient ethylene plants in the US.
