Abstract

This paper discussed the YB/T5100-1993 Piano Wire Strand, which is a type of steel strands used to make piano wires. The material of the piano wire strand is made from cold-drawn high-carbon steel wire, manufactured in accordance with the standard requirements of YB/T5100-1993. The parts of the piano wire strand include a steel wire with a round cross section, a steel bar, and a strand wrapping piece. The production process of the piano wire strand consists of shearing, straightening and welding, rolling, stranding, heat treatment, and cleaning. The performance of the piano wire strand depends on its material, strength, wear resistance, tensile strength and elongation.
