Resignation Plan

The purpose of this plan is to set forth the conditions and procedures under which an employee may resign from his or her position with a company or organization.

Scope

This plan applies to all employees who voluntarily resign from their positions with the company or organization, regardless of their position or the length of service.

General Considerations

The company recognizes that there may be circumstances which require an employee to resign from his or her position before the end of the contracted term, such as illness, personal or family matter, or to pursue other employment opportunities. We will make every effort to facilitate a smooth transition and preserver the employee’s rights and entitlements.

Process

When an employee wishes to resign from his or her position, they must submit a signed letter of resignation to the supervisor or management. The letter should include the date of the resignation, the date of the last day of work, and their complete contact details.

Termination of Employment Agreement

The management and the employee should together review the existing employment agreement. At the time of the resignation, the employee should return all company-owned property such as identification, keys, or hardware.

Final Payment

Upon resignation, the employee is eligible for any wages due such as vacation pay and other monies for services rendered, in accordance with the existing agreement. The company’s existing procedures for issuing such a payment must be followed.

Unused Entitlements

An employee is eligible for any unused entitlements such as holiday pay, sick leave, and other benefits that may be applicable, in accordance with the existing agreement.

Additional Matters

The provisions outlined in this plan do not supersede any individual personnel procedures that are as applicable.

Conclusion

We hope that this plan will provide guidance when an employee needs to resign from their position. It is important to remember that both employer and employee should adhere to the terms and conditions of the existing agreement. Furthermore, the company values all contributions made by each employee and we wish them the best of luck in their future endeavors.
