Application of 03Cr18Mn12Si2N
Stainless steel 03Cr18Mn12Si2N (0Cr18Mn12Si2N) is a high-chromium ferrite type stainless steel, used at 500-590℃,which requires high-temperature strength, corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance. It is mainly used for the blades and impellers of steam turbines, and can be used to make machining parts, fasteners, transmission shafts, and corrosion-resistant structural components.
Features of 03Cr18Mn12Si2N:
High-temperature strength: The structure at high temperature is single-phase ferromagnetic, and the 03Cr18Mn12Si2N has high-temperature strength in 500-590℃ range, but its low-temperature toughness decreases significantly.
Corrosion resistance: by increasing the content of chromium, molybdenum, niobium and nitrogen, the steel’s resistance to intergranular corrosion, pitting corrosion and crevice corrosion can be improved.
