4.2 Structural Characteristics and Connection
4.2.1 The compressor body consists of a cylinder, head, valve and a piston that is reciprocally in the cylinder. The connection parts consist of crankshaft, connecting rod, flywheel and a frame.
4.2.2 All parts which expand the volume shall be connected with the connection part through a dislocation sleeve to ensure reliable connection between the two parts.
4.2.3 All components must be reasonably matched, and the amount of clearance between the components and parts shall meet the requirements of JB/T 8472.
4.2.4 When the crankshaft is installed, the rotary axis shall be in vertical position.
4.3 Safety Devices
The reciprocating liquefied petroleum gas compressors should be equipped with safety devices in order to ensure the normal and safe operation of the compressor. The safety device should be installed according to JB/T 7541.
4.4 Test Requirements
4.4.1 Test for gas leakage
The sealing parts of the reciprocating liquefied petroleum gas compressor shall be detected for gas leakage by the pressure resistance test. The test gas for the gas leakage test may be either compressed liquefied petroleum gas or the same kind of compressed gas as the one to be used in operation. The test pressure shall be selected in the range of 1.2 to 1.7 times of the maximum working pressure. The test should be conducted for no less than 10 minutes. The pressure gradually decreases until no leakage is observed.
4.4.2 Test for air resistance
The air resistance flywheel of the reciprocating liquefied petroleum gas compressor shall be tested according to JB/T 5496. The measured value of the flywheel deformation shall meet the requirements of JB/T 8473.
4.4.3 Test for vibration
The vibration of the reciprocating liquefied petroleum gas compressor shall be measured according to JB/T 8473 and JB/T 9103.3-1999. The measured value of the vibration shall meet the requirements of JB/T 8473.
4.4.4 Test for temperature rise
The temperature rise test of the compressor shall be conducted according to JB/T 8472. The temperature rise test should also be repeated with different working pressures.
4.4.5 Test for liquid load
The liquid load test of the reciprocating liquefied petroleum gas compressor shall be conducted according to JB/T 8472.
4.4.6 Test for self-priming
The self-priming of the reciprocating liquefied petroleum gas compressor shall be tested in accordance with JB/T 8472.
