Founded in 1994, Shanghai Daring Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. is a professional enterprise engaged in shipbuilding. It is located on an area of over 22306 square meters, with a building area of 19429 square meters along the bank of the Huangpu River. It is a national technical center with the largest SCR processing and sales volume in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River.
The company consists of four sections: production and technology, marketing, quality management and finance, human resources, and general affairs.The main business scope of the company is the manufacture of various vessels and the design and construction of various hydraulic structures. In 2015, the total sales revenue of the company exceeded 35 billion yuan.
The company adheres to the quality management policy “the best product, the best service”, with a large-scale and automated assembly line for production and processing. The company has the worlds advanced automated laser cutting machine, automatic profile cutting machine, fully automatic welding machine and other equipment. The SCR processing and sales products are close to 11 million meters, accounting for more than 60% of the domestic market share and are sold to more than 30 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions.
In September 2016, the company held its 22nd anniversary celebration. Mr. Yang Guosheng, executive president of Shanghai Gangwei Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. and executive president of China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation, attended the celebration. At the celebration, the existing academician workstations and enterprise engineering technology research institutes in the company were re-organized into a scientific research center with the Shanghai Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering Research Institute as its center. Mr. Yang expressed his hope that the center could better serve national shipbuilding engineering technology research and its products could meet international standards.
The company has obtained a series of qualifications granted by the relevant national departments including ISO9000 quality management system certification, classification society certification, marine product type certification, and special vessel manufacturing license.

It has successfully made a batch of products selling well in the world market, such as the “Second Son of Huangpu River” self-unloading log carrier, self-unloading bulk carrier, chemical product carrier, etc.
