Cr12Ni10AlTi is an alloy material which is widely used in the manufacturing of equipment and components used at high temperature. Its excellent performance in high temperature makes it one of the most popular alloys in the industry. It has high strength, good resistance to oxidation, excellent thermal stability and excellent hot workability. In this paper, the mechanical properties of Cr12Ni10AlTi at high temperature will be discussed.

Mechanical Properties of Cr12Ni10AlTi at High Temperature

The mechanical properties of Cr12Ni10AlTi at high temperature are very important for its industrial utilization. The mechanical properties of Cr12Ni10AlTi at high temperature include tensile strength, yield strength, hardness, ductility, fracture toughness and fatigue strength. These properties can be divided into three groups according to the ambient temperature: room temperature, high temperature, and high temperature-low temperature. First of all, at room temperature, the tensile strength of this alloy reaches more than 900MPa, and the yield strength is more than 800MPa. Furthermore, the hardness of the alloy metal can reach up to 550HBW. Moreover, the ductility of Cr12Ni10AlTi at room temperature is excellent and it can provide good fracture toughness. On the other hand, at high temperature, the tensile strength of the alloy is about 800-900MPa, and the yield strength is about 650-750MPa. The hardness of the alloy metal is also much lower at high temperature, ranging from 320 to 420HBW. Furthermore, the ductility of the alloy metal is still good at high temperature, but it is slightly worse than that at room temperature. Meanwhile, the fatigue strengths of the alloy metal at high temperature are similar to those at room temperature. In addition, at high temperature-low temperature, the tensile strength of Cr12Ni10AlTi is about 600-650MPa, and the yield strength is about 500-550MPa. The hardness of the alloy metal at high temperature-low temperature is also lower than that at high temperature, ranging from 250 to 350HBW. Moreover, the ductility of the alloy metal at high temperature-low temperature is relatively low compared with that at high temperature and room temperature.

Conclusion

To conclude, Cr12Ni10AlTi is an excellent alloy which shows excellent mechanical properties at high temperature. It has high tensile strength, good resistance to oxidation, excellent thermal stability, good hot workability and good fracture toughness. Furthermore, its hardness and ductility varies with the changing temperature environment. Therefore, Cr12Ni10AlTi can be widely used in the production of equipment and components which are used at high temperature.
