China Petroleum and Chemical Corporation, abbreviated as Sinopec, is one of the three largest oil and gas companies in China. Established in 1998 and based in Beijing,China,it is a state-owned,national energy company and one of the worlds largest integrated oil and gas companies.It is also Chinas largest petroleum refiner and chemicals producer,which makes it a major crucial part of the Chinese economy.
The Corporation comprises two natural gas divisions, consisting of China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation and China National Petroleum Corporation. It owns and operates three large scale oil refineries and one petrochemical complex.

Sinopecs Qilu Branch, founded in 1998 and located in Qingdao City, Shandong Province is a Sino-foreign joint venture with the highest annual production capacity of 1.2 million tons of petrochemical products.It is one of Sinopecs leading petrochemical research and manufacturing facilities, and its output is mainly used in production of agricultural chemical, daily chemicals and synthetic linen products as well as various materials used in plastic processing and other specialities industries.
