A Story of Determination
Once upon a time there was a young girl named Wendy, who lived with her family in a small town near the beach. She loved the sea and was always excited to be around it. Wendy was a very determined girl – determined to do what she wanted and what she dreamt of.
One day, Wendy had a big idea, one which she was sure would make her family proud, but she didn’t know how to share it with them. She had always wanted to see the world and learn more about different cultures and lifestyles, but as a small town girl, it felt almost impossible.
Having found a strong desire to see new places, Wendy decided she would have to find a way to make her dream come to reality. After much research, Wendy discovered a few ways she could travel and learn more about the world. She decided to spend her summer holidays travelling with a group of other people her age. This way, she would get to see new places and meet people.
Wendy was very excited about her plan and knew she would have to save money to make it happen. Knowing that each penny counted, she got a part-time job when she was 16 to save up for her journey. For two whole years she sacrificed many of her personal desires and desires for her family to save for her dream.
Finally, the day of her departure was here. With teary eyes, Wendy said goodbye to her family and flew to the other side of the world. She was mesmerized by the beauty of the landscape and the people she met. Everywhere she went, her determination and hard work were rewarded.
The journey transformed Wendy into a mature, responsible and wise person. She became knowledgeable and had the courage to believe in herself no matter what came her way.
Wendy has now settled back home and is working in a big corporate firm. She loves her job and always encourages others to be passionate and determined, so that they can succeed in their goals and ambitions. Wendy’s inspirational story serves as a reminder that nothing is impossible if we are brave enough to make our dreams come true.
