China Railway 17th Bureau Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as CR17B), a wholly-owned subsidiary of China Railway Group Limited, was established in 1979, mainly engaged in railway engineering, general contracting, engineering design, products trade, property management and relevant supporting services. As a large-scale engineering construction and installation enterprise, CR17B has accumulated rich experiences in railway engineering, urban railway projects and other infrastructure works over the past decades.
In recent years, CR17B has continued to deepen its reforms, improve its talents, cultivate its competence and enhance its innovation capacity, thus making remarkable progress in domestic and international markets. To adapt to the new great era of the “One Belt, One Road” and the “Internet Plus” strategy, CR17B seeks to seize the new opportunities and remains committed to actively participating in the One Belt and One Road Initiative, fully integrating itself into the stunning development of the “Internet Plus”. In line with requirements of industrial upgrading, CR17B strives to build itself into a modern engineering service provider, exhibition & trade platform and technology research & development center through intensive information technology application.
CR17B’s ongoing transformation and upgrading has achieved remarkable successes in recent years. Numerous infrastructure projects have been completed successfully, such as the S6 Line of Hangzhou Metro and the Anqingqingshan–Tongling Railway. The urban and rural projects have also been carried out smoothly, including demonstration projects in Haiyang, Yancheng and Huangshan. It is worth mentioning that these demo projects have attracted widespread attentions for its innovative achievements.
CR17B has made significant progress in its innovation capacity and gradually formed an innovation system with the IT industry as its core, the deep development of industries and services as its key, and the accelerating of internationalization process as its direction. The “three platforms” strategy has become its innovation development blueprint and its urban and rural infrastructure projects have witnessed successful innovation understandings.
CR17B has also been exploring overseas markets and completed more than 120 overseas projects. Moreover, CR17B builds up competence in overseas engineering projects and accumulates sound resources and experiences, which help to promote the international strategy.
