The Copenhagen Stock Exchange, or CSSX as it is known, is one of the oldest stock exchanges in the world and is one of the most respected in the Scandinavian region. CSSX was founded in 1808 and is based in Denmark’s capital city of Copenhagen. The exchange operates two integrated markets, the OMX Copenhagen and OMX Nordic Exchange. The OMX Copenhagen includes both Danish and international securities, while the OMX Nordic Exchange includes stocks and other financial instruments from Nordic countries such as Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland. There are roughly 620 listed companies on the CSSX, of which around 200 are publicly listed.

The CSSX offers a number of different services to both domestic and foreign investors. These include the following:

• Trading of stocks and other financial instruments, such as derivatives and options

• A wide range of investment products and services, such as mutual funds and portfolio management

• Financial advice and access to research and analysis

• Clearing and settlement services

The CSSX is open for trading from 8.30am to 4.30pm CET on weekdays, except bank holidays. For example, the CSSX is rated by Standard & Poor’s and Moody’s and is a member of the World Federation of Exchanges.
