Mark Rubinstein was born on the fifteenth of February, 1950 in New York City. He was the son of two Jewish immigrants from the Soviet Union, Olga and Jacob Rubinstein. From an early age, Mark displayed an aptitude for mathematics. He excelled in school and by the time he graduated from high school, he had already been accepted to MIT, one of the premier engineering universities in the world.

Mark attended MIT for four years and graduated with a bachelor of science in Electrical Engineering in 1972. After graduating, he continued his studies and earned a masters degree from Harvard University in 1974. It was at Harvard that he first became interested in finance, and he decided to pursue a career in Wall Street. In 1976, he moved to New York City to begin his career in finance.

For the next 30 years or so, Mark Rubinstein worked in banking, finance, and asset management. He was very successful in his field and rose to the top quickly. He was an expert in mergers and acquisitions and a master of the stock market. In 2006, he moved back to the original city of his birth, New York City, and established his own company – Rubinstein Group. His company specialized in hedge funds, financial consulting and asset management.

Throughout his career, Mark worked with some of the biggest names in the finance industry and was highly respected by all. He was a mentor to many of the younger bankers and traders and often gave advice on making the right investment decisions.
