The injection molding technology has been developed worldwide since the end of the 19th century. It is mainly used for producing plastic parts at high speed rate and massive scale with low cost. Injection molding technology is an important and essential part of the manufacturing process in many industries. In the process of injection molding, injection molding machines are used to melt plastic granules or resin pellets and inject the molten material into a mold by using a plunger or screw to obtain a desired molded shape. The injection molding process has many steps including injecting molten plastic into a mold, cooling the plastic until it is solid, and opening the mold to release the plastic part from the mold. In order to increase the efficiency of the injection molding process and produce high quality plastic products, a good control of the process parameters is essential.
