My Steel
Steel has been an integral part of my life since I was just a young boy. My father was a welder and fabricator, and with his guidance, I developed a deep respect for the power of steel. To me, steel has never been just an inert metal. It has been a living, breathing force, shaping the world around us.
Steel’s presence is everywhere. It is used in bridges and buildings all over the world, making them sturdy and reliable. It is used in the construction of our homes, making them durable and structurally sound. Steel provides robust support and stability, especially in times of seismic activity. Steel armor is used to protect people from harm, from bullets and explosions. And steel is used in everyday objects, from watches to cars, making them strong and sturdy in their design.
Steel has played a role in countless products and inventions. It has been used in the construction of tools, from nuts and bolts to saws and drills. Steel has been used to build ships and submarines, thanks to its corrosion-resistant nature. Steel has helped to create machines for manufacturing and industry, ranging from oil refinery equipment to locomotives. Steel has even been used in the agriculture sector to build tools for tilling soil and harvesting crops.
My father’s legacy lives on in the form of my own welding and fabrication business. I specialize in custom steel products, ranging from wall-mounted shelves to metal gates. Crafting steel by hand is an intensely rewarding task, and I could not be more pleased with the results. The unique designs of my creations are truly one-of-a-kind and have added a unique flair to many homes and businesses.
Aside from my professional successes, there is a special pride I take in having a deep knowledge of steel. I consider myself an extension of my father, and my business a living testament to his wisdom and skill. And when I pass down his tools and autographed copy of The Adamantine Girl to the next generation, I know that the importance of steel will remain. Steel is a powerful force—strong, enduring, and reliable. And in the end, it is my steel that enables me to forge a better tomorrow.
