0Cr18Ni3Si4 austenitic stainless steel belongs to a kind of austenitic stainless steel, which has a stable crystal structure and excellent corrosion resistance. This material has good formability, weldability and strength and is especially suitable for components subjected to a wide range of temperatures and other stress.
0Cr18Ni3Si4 austenitic stainless steel has higher strength than most austenitic stainless steels, excellent plasticity and formability, good weldability and no magnetic characteristics. It is particularly resistant to uniform corrosion by strong acids and strong oxidizing media. The fracture resistance of this material is strong and can withstand repeated short-time loads.
0Cr18Ni3Si4 austenitic stainless steel has good mechanical properties. Its strength is enhanced at elevated temperatures, yielding and ultimate strength. The tensile strength at 20° C is about 514 Mpa and 475 Mpa at 750°C. Its yield strength is about 0.2%. The elongation at break is about 40%. The hardness is about 180HB. This material also has good fatigue resistance up to 400 degrees Celsius and good impact toughness at low temperatures.
0Cr18Ni3Si4 austenitic stainless steel has excellent corrosion resistance to atmospheric corrosion, but its corrosion resistance is not better than 1Cr17Ni7 or Cr19Ni10 stainless steel. Its corrosion resistance in weakly acidic environments is worse than that of 1Cr17Ni7 and Cr19Ni10 stainless steels. Its corrosion resistance to atmospheric corrosion was tested according to GB/T5777-2015 and was high in both wet and dry conditions.
0Cr18Ni3Si4 austenitic stainless steel can be heat treated to obtain a wide range of mechanical properties. The heat treatment process includes quenching followed by annealing, solution and air cooling or tempering. Quenching and tempering can improve the strength of this material and reduce its plasticity, thus improving its wear resistance and fatigue resistance. After being quenched and tempered, its tensile strength is generally about 650 Mpa and its yield strength is about 400 Mpa.0Cr18Ni3Si4 austenitic stainless steel can be hot rolled, cold rolled, cold forged and casted, but squalane treatment is required before welding. With the reasonable performance and good resistance to stress corrosion cracking and fatigue,0Cr18Ni3Si4 austenitic stainless steel can be used in various new energy industries and other acid-resistant areas. This material should be processed with reasonable methods, annealed and pickled after formation to ensure good performance.
