Rolling Mill, Shearing Machine Operation Regulation
I. Purpose
This Regulation is formulated for the purposes of standardizing the operations of rolling mill and shearing machine, preventing accidents and reducing production costs.
II. Scope
This Regulation applies to the manufacturers who design, install, use, maintain, repair and examine rolling mill, shearing machine and other related equipment.
III. Definitions
1. Rolling mill: for rolling non-ferrous metals, wire and rod, is a kind of equipment for cold-rolling, hot-rolling, cold drawing and other processes.
2. Shearing machine: for shearing metals and nonmetals, is a kind of equipment refined by technologies and is designed with the assistance of control theory.
IV. Operation
1. Preparation prior to operation
A. Check the materials and size of the rolls, before fully assembling the rolls and roll-stand of the rolling mill. Before operating the shear, check the working platform and guards to ensure they can be used reliably.
B. Make sure that the laid bolt and nut ends and nearby components of the rolling mill, shearing machine and other related equipment are properly on the ground to prevent tripping or mishandling, which may cause personal injury or equipment damage.
C. If the rolling mill and shearing machine powered by power, turn on the disconnect switch and make sure the circuit connects properly.
2. Rolling and shearing operation
A. Prior to the operation of the rolling mill, ensure all the operational parameters of the controlled system, including speed, force and temperature and tension, are predetermined and properly inputted in the system to ensure optimal rolling performance and quality of the end product.
B. When running the shearing machine, ensure the products and materials are loaded in the appropriate position. Avoid accidental cutting and other damaging.
C. During the operation of the rolling mill and shearing machine, the operator should give full attention to their operation and pay close attention to the changes of operational parameters and any potential abnormal phenomenon.
D. If abnormal phenomenon or conditions occur, operators should stop the operation of the rolling mill, shearing machine and other related equipment immediately and take necessary measures to rectify the issue before resuming the operation.
V. Maintenance and repair
1. Following the maintenance schedule regularly and do repair work as necessary.
2. Cleaning and oiling the rolls, rollers and other components on a regular basis.
3. When repairing or replacing components on the rolling mill, shearing machine, or other related equipment, the safety precautions should be followed and the interfered parts should be properly disassembled and reassembled.
4. After the repair and adjustments are performed, the necessary tests should be conducted to ensure the equipment is operating in accordance with the required standards.
VI. Training
1. Trainees should complete the safety training and other training courses before operating the rolling mill, shearing machine and other related equipment.
2. Those unfamiliar with proper operation of the equipment should receive detailed instructions for individual equipment before operating.
3. Ensure that individuals operating or repairing the equipment are trained and understand applicable safety measures and hazard prevention regulations.
VII. Conclusion
The operators of the rolling mill, shearing machine and other related equipment shall comply with these rules and regulations. It is of utmost importance to adhere to these regulations in order to protect the safety of personnel and to ensure production effectiveness, accuracy and high quality of the end products.
