Chinese Membrane Industry Association
The Chinese membrane industry association (CMIA) is a non-profit professional organization devoted to the research, development, and application of membrane technology. The association is a voluntary association of individuals dedicated to the development and promotion of membrane technology and to the advancement of knowledge concerning membranes and related processes.
CMIA was established in 1993 and has grown to become one of the leading organizations in the membrane industry. As one of the most influential organizations in China, the Association works closely with the national and local standards departments, key research institutes, universities, and industry-specific companies to ensure that China’s interests are effectively represented in the global membrane market.
The objectives of the CMIA include the facilitation of research and development activities, the promotion of industrial technology, the publication of scientific and industry-related information, and the active representation of China’s interests in the international membrane market. In order to realize its objectives, the Association actively engaged in the following activities:
• The organization of conferences, seminars, and workshops to enhance the development of membrane-related technology.
• The collection and dissemination of relevant industry-related research, technology, and information.
• The monitoring and coordination of industry-related activities, including conferences, expositions, and other industry events.
• The participation in and organization of international technical meetings relating to membrane technology.
• The facilitation of committee activities pertaining to the development of industrial and technology standards.
• The promotion of technical skills, top personnel, and technology transfer activities.
• The public education of membrane technology and the promotion of high ethical standards in the field.
In addition to the aforementioned activities, CMIA also regularly organizes meetings and technical training activities to promote the development of the membrane industry.
CMIA has established close links with similar organizations and groups in other countries, providing an important platform for interaction and exchange of experiences in the membrane industry. To ensure that the benefits of its activities can be reaped, the Association has put in place a comprehensive and rigorous internal management system.
