Research on Directional Silicon Steel Production Technology for Thin Slug Continuous Casting and Rolling
Abstract
This paper takes thin slab continuous casting and rolling production as the research background and further studies the general principles and technical characteristics of directional silicon steel production. On this basis, the research content includes the selection and design of directional silicon steel equipment and as well as the control parameters and process design of directional silicon steel magnetic field, etc.. Finally, this paper puts forward an integrated program of production process control and product quality improvement, that is to install permanent magnet direction changing device, and to optimize the relevant parameters by computer magnetic field simulation technology.

1 Introduction
With the rapid development of the iron and steel industry in China, the production of thin slab continuous casting and rolling hot rolled coil has become the mainstream of iron and steel production. In order to make the key performance indicators of hot rolled products reach good indicators and ensure the consistency of the electrical and magnetic properties between the required materials and the products, using directional silicon steel production technology for thin slab continuous casting and rolling hot coil production is an important measure to improve the quality of hot coil.
2 Basic principles of the production of directional silicon steel
The production of directional silicon steel products is to combine different orientations of anisotropic magnetic properties in silicon steel sheet, so that the direction of the sheet can be divided into different orientations along the principle of B-H loop proportion. Generally, cold rolled silicon steel sheet can be divided into four directions, such as 0°, 45°, 90°, 135°, and 180°, which means the direction of the selected silicon steel sheet is consistent with the magnetic field of the inductor.
3 Selection of directional silicon steel equipment
The selection of directional silicon steel production equipment usually adopts the method of 1# 2# combined equipment with guide roller or guide rail, or the card-mounted type combined equipment. The general equipment installation requirements: ① In order to ensure the stability of the pre-magnetizing magnetic field, the interval between the two equipment can be determined according to the coil cold rolling speed, the magnetizing current and other factors. ② The two equipment should be reasonably arranged on the two sides of the strip, and the stripper strip should cover the strip as far as possible.
4 Process design and control parameters of directional silicon steel
In the production process of directional silicon steel, reasonable and scientific process design and control parameters often have a very important impact on product quality. Generally, the following five aspects should be taken into consideration: ① Design of gas gap; ② Design of connection range; ③ Clearance of inductor and sheet; ④ Setting of excitation current; ⑤ Determination of current and voltage.
5 Conclusion
This paper takes the thin slab continuous casting and rolling production as the background, studies the general principles and characteristics of directional silicon steel, and further puts forward the relevant equipment selection and parameters process adjustment program. It is believed that the integrated program of production process control and product quality improvement, namely the installation of permanent magnet direction changing device, and the optimization of related parameters by computer magnet simulation technology can greatly improve the mechanical and electrical properties of hot rolled coil.
