Single-eccentric elastic metal sealed butterfly valves mainly have three sealing forms: elastic sealing, composite sealing and metal-hard sealing. The elastic sealed butterfly valve uses spring steel material to make the plane contact between the valve disc and the valve seat, and relies on spring force to generate sufficient contact force. The advantage of this sealing mode is that the mechanical energy used is small and it is lightweight. However, it has the disadvantage of one-time sealing, so its life is shorter.

The composite seat elastic metal sealed butterfly valve is bonded with soft composite material to the inner surface of the valve disc and valve seat with bolts, which makes the plane contact between the valve disc and valve seat. This sealing method has the advantages of being lightweight, reliable sealing performance and long service life, but the disadvantage is that it is difficult to install and install.

Metal-hard sealed butterfly valves are usually made of stainless steel hard materials such as stainless steel and cobalt-based alloys. This kind of seal has the characteristics of strong sealing performance and long service life, but it is difficult to manufacture and assemble, and the cost is also high.

In general, elastic metal sealed butterfly valves have certain advantages, such as small size, light weight, large temperature and pressure range, quick opening and closing, reasonable adjustment and control of flow rate,etc. They have been widely used in petroleum, chemical, pharmaceutical, food and other industries.
