Zhejiang An Tai Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. (ZATS) was established in March of 1997. Its headquarters is located in Zhejiang province, one of the largest shipbuilding bases in China. ZATS began operation of its first shipbuilding plant in 2003 and now operates a number of plants in China, with a total annual production of 3,000,000 dwt.
ZATS specializes in the manufacture and sale of a full range of commercial and naval vessels, ranging from lifeboats to larger cargo vessels. The company produces inland vessels, seagoing vessels, ro-ro vessels, tankers and container ships. Most of the products are produced domestically, though ZATS also has strategic partnerships with foreign companies to provide imported vessels and components as required.
