When dealing with metallurgical products, dryness is an important factor in subsequent production processes. In the process of smelting and casting, due to the high temperature between the raw materials, the slag and the metal liquid, a large amount of water vapor is produced during the cooling process and the reaction takes place. The water vapor must be difficult to eliminate by normal cooling, which causes the product to become wet. The drying parameters of the metallurgical product depend not only on the nature of the individual product, but also on the drying equipment. If the product is sufficiently dry and the drying parameters are not properly set, the resulting product may be poor.

There are many drying methods for metallurgical products. The simplest and most common method is thermo-mechanical drying. This method uses forced hot dry air to remove the moisture contained in the product. Generally speaking, this process involves the use of conveyor belts or vibrating trays that move the product through the drying process. By controlling the temperature of the air with a built-in thermostat, the temperature of the product can be maintained at the required level. Another drying method used for metallurgical products is electrical drying. This method uses a high-voltage electrical field to remove moisture from the product. This method is usually only used for products that require high temperatures. After the product has been placed in the dryer, an electric current passes through the product, heating it until the desired state of dryness is achieved. The heated air then circulates through the product, extracting the moisture.

A third drying method used for metallurgical products is absorption drying. This method uses an absorbent substance to remove the moisture from the product. Commonly used absorbent substances include activated charcoal, calcium chloride and zeolites. After the product has been placed in the dryer, the absorbent material is added, which absorbs the moisture from the product. This method is usually only used for products which require very low temperatures, as the absorbent material can potentially damage the product if the temperature is too high.

In addition to the above-mentioned drying methods, there are also numerous other methods that can be used to dry metallurgical products, such as oven drying, vacuum drying, and microwave drying. It is important to select the correct drying method for the product in order to ensure that the product is sufficiently dry after the drying process. If a drying method is improperly selected, the product may be damaged and the quality of the product may be compromised.
