China Electrical Engineering Society
The China Electrical Engineering Society (CEES) is a national non-profit organization registered in the National Ministry of Civil Affairs. It was established in 1984 by a group of prominent electrical engineering scholars and experts of China. CEES currently has a total membership of 456,000, including 4,000 individual members, 140 educational institutions, 3,650 engineering societies and 7,000 enterprises and institutions. The purpose of CEES is to promote technological progress, economic development and new technological progress in electrical and electronic engineering industries, as well as its education and application activities.
CEES is one of the most influential national organizations in the field of electrical engineering. It serves as a bridge for communication and exchanges between international electrical engineering experts, as well as between universities, research institutes, enterprises and civilian clubs. It provides important technical advice on key projects and policies of major electrical engineering projects, research activities, and organizes and hosts major international conferences and workshops.
CEES publishes electrical engineering science magazines and 10 journalsmonthly, including China Electrical Engineering Science Magazine, Science and Engineering of Electronics Technology, Science and Engineering of Electrical Engineering, Technology and Engineering of Electric Power, International Engineering in Electric Power, and so on. It also provides technical support for various committees, such as the Academic Committee of Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Education Research Committee, Technology and Equipment in Electric Power Committee, Electronic Technology Application Research Committee, and many other special groups.
As a member-based organization, CEES focuses on organizing various academic activities such as conferences, seminars, academic demonstrations and exhibitions, and it also provides educational programs from junior to senior high school in order to cultivate the talents of electrical engineering. As such, the CEES has become an important think tank in Chinese electrical engineering field.
As the world enters the era of technological explosion, electrical engineering professions have developed to unprecedented fields. Chinas economy is in a rapid development stage, and the electrical engineering industry is further strengthened. China Electrical Engineering Society will continue to keep pace with the times, play its role, and promote the development of Chinas electrical engineering industry.
