GB/T 14292-1993 Carbon Structural Steel and Low-Alloy Structural Steel

GB/T 14292-1993 carbon structural steel and low-alloy structural steel stipulates the classification, code, order content and size, shape, weight and tolerance for carbon structural steel and low-alloy structural steel. This standard applies to hot-rolled (excluding strip) steel plates and strips steel grades, production process and sheets or strip steel division and dimensional and shape tolerances. This standard does not apply to force steel components needed for parts manufacturing and other requirements.

This standard replaces the GB/T 14292-87 carbon structural steel and low-alloy structural steel phase. This standard is released by the National Standardization Technical Committee in 1993.04.07 and implemented on October 1, 1993.

Carbon structural steel and low-alloy structural steel can be divided into hot-rolled (excluding strip) products and cold-rolled (supplementary cold-rolled) products in terms of production processes, and the latter can also be divided into heat treatment products, cold hardening products, heat treatment and cold hardening products. Hot-rolled (excluding strip) products are produced in accordance with GB/T 222, GB/T 223 4-5 orders, and cold-rolled (plus cold-rolled) products are processed in accordance with GB/T 700-2006 requirements. Hot-rolled (excluding strip) products and cold-rolled (supplementary cold-rolled) production processes are specified elsewhere.

The products of this standard are classified according to the structure, and are divided into carbon structure steel, low alloy steel and alloy steel three.

Carbon structural steel includes ordinary carbon structural steel and special carbon structural steel. Common carbon structural steel is divided into nine grades according to the tensile strength level, low-alloy structural steel is divided into 13 grades according to the tensile strength level, and the alloy structural steel is divided into 19 grades according to the tensile strength level.

The product of this standard shall conform to the provisions of the relevant Chinese steel quality standard in respect of the chemical compositions and mechanical properties. Testing methods, test rules and requirements of the chemical composition, mechanical properties, size and shape and weight of the products shall be as specified in the relevant Chinese steel quality standard.

This standard also stipulates the code, order content and size, shape, weight and tolerance requirements for the above-mentioned steels.

This standard combines the parts of GB/T 14290 and GB/T 14291 (all the parts) into one standard, namely GB/T 14292, and modifies the content of the two standards according to the changes of the production conditions and the current national and international steel mechanical basic standards.
