Aluminum and Aluminum Alloy Chromophoretic Coating Technology Standards
Aluminum and aluminum alloy chromophoretic coatings are widely used in a variety of fields due to their excellent performance and decorative properties. The production process of the chromophoretic coating is an electrochemical process of initiating anodic oxidation. The main principle is to form an anodic oxide film on the surface of the workpiece by constructing an electrolytic cell under certain voltage and current, thereby obtaining the required anti-corrosion, wear-resistant and decorative effect.
So what are the specific aluminum and aluminum alloy chromophoretic coating technology standards?
First, according to the Standard Specification for Fusion Bonded Epoxy Coating (FBE) of Steel Structures of Bridges and Highways issued by the Ministry of Communications of China in 2009, the requirements for aluminum and aluminum alloy chromophoretic coating shall comply with the provisions of the relevant product standards or shall be clearly indicated by the user in their product standard or in the contract or order. The specific technical requirements are as follows:
1. Calibration of coating thickness: The coating thickness should be measured by a qualified coating thickness gauge and the detected data should be consistent with the specifications.
2. Visual inspection: The exterior surface of chromophoretic coating is divided into two categories, namely, brushing finish and spray finish. The surface of brushing finish is required to be smooth and uniform, without residuals of chemicals and the use of electricity and without pores. The external surface of the vapor-spray finish coating shall be dense and even, without air bubbles, and without pores and defects.
3. Adhesion strength test: The adhesion strength of chromophoretic coating should be tested by MEK impact method, and the adhesion should meet the corresponding technical requirements.
4. Salt spray test: after chromophoretic coating, the coating film should be subjected to salt spray test in accordance with the specification. The results should meet the stipulated requirements.
Second, according to IS09001:2008 quality management system standard, the aluminum and aluminum alloy chromophoretic coating technology should ensure the following three aspects:
1. Improvement of Process: The process flow of chromophoretic coating should be improved regularly to ensure the stability of quality. The process flow should be stable, easy to operate and able to take effective preventive measures against unfavorable factors.
2. Control of Raw Materials: According to the requirements of chromophoretic coating, to ensure a stable quality of raw materials, different chromophoretic coatings can be produced according to different materials such as aluminum and aluminum alloy.
3. Quality Inspection:chromophoretic coating should be inspected according to the requirements of IS09001:2008 quality management system standard and the corresponding technical requirements. The inspections shall include visual inspection, coating thickness measurement, adhesion strength test, salt spray test and other related tests, and the inspection results shall meet the requirements of technical documents.
In conclusion, the aluminum and aluminum alloy chromophoretic coating technology standards include two parts: the Standard Specification for Fusion Bonded Epoxy Coating (FBE) of Steel Structures of Bridges and Highways issued by the Ministry of Communications of China in 2009 and the IS09001:2008 quality management system standard. The specific standards include calibration of coating thickness, visual inspection, adhesion strength test, salt spray test and other related tests. The implementation of these standards can ensure the stable and reliable quality of chromophoretic coatings.
